There’s no doubt that real estate development has drifted south of Metro Manila, as living away from the noise of the metropolis has always been on the wish list of many. It was upon this desire that Ayala Land Inc. (ALI) has built its mixed-use development NUVALI, in Sta. Rosa, Laguna. NUVALI, some 10 years after its launching, is now a thriving hub of residential communities and every conceivable facility that their residents need.

ALI’s development of NUVALI has been so sharp that it has become a popular home-search destination south of the metropolis—a unique eco-city founded and growing on economic, environmental and social sustainability. Mainly due to this success, ALI notably earned the distinction as the Best Mixed-Use Developer among other awards in a recent industry survey.

Quality Living Draws Families

Given its growth, NUVALI can lay claim as a new epicenter for communities to grow and families to settle in. Already flanked by satellite points of interest, NUVALI offers all the perks of modern living that complement with the various attractions north at Alabang Town Center, and south at Tagaytay City and Batangas.

As magnets for residents and visitors alike, Ayala Land has allotted in NUVALI more than 40,000 square meters of retail space good for a selection of over 300 establishments for shopping, dining, and entertainment.

Most of these are anchored on the retail and lifestyle hub of Ayala Malls Solenad. The mall’s expansive grounds also flaunts lots of green and open-air spaces, naturally ventilated areas, wide pedestrian walkways and a two-hectare park with an outdoor playground. This mall notably spreads adjacent to a picturesque four-acre lake which provides many water-based leisure activities, such as wakeboarding, ideal for all residents of the NUVALI communities.

Platforms for Bonding Families and Communities

The “family-friendly” part is key to NUVALI’s charm: residents and visitors enjoy the development’s action-packed menu of recreational facilities. This not only promotes wellness and healthy living but also creates a habitat that’s conducive to bonding families and communities. A key hub for family and community fun: the six-hectare Camp N featuring a zipline, obstacle course, and similar adventure facilities.

NUVALI’s scenic stretch of running and biking trails extend for about 50 kilometers, offering another way for families to bond. Competitive and fun events are now often held along these routes. Participating NUVALI residents are thus able to interact and socialize with others who share the same passion for outdoor physical activities, like marathon running and mountain biking.

Families who chose to live in NUVALI, moreover, can easily gain access to the urban experiences of neighboring developments, such as those at the Alabang Town Center. Less than hour’s drive to the north of NUVALI, the Alabang commercial hub is home not only to well-established shops and restaurants, but also regularly hosts an assortment of cultural events and art festivals.

Southern Satellites of Leisure

A short hop southwest from NUVALI conveniently leads to the more laid-back highland setting of Tagaytay. A Tagaytay visit offers delights beyond its gorgeous views of Taal Volcano and Taal Lake.

Tagaytay is home to storied farm-to-table restaurants like the Taza Fresh Table at the Taal Vista Hotel off Aguinaldo Highway. Another must-stop along this road corridor is the coffee shop Bag of Beans noted for its rare brew of “Kape Alamid” or civet coffee.

Proximity to the South Luzon Expressway onwards to Star Tollway further diversifies choices of leisure destinations from NUVALI. A drive of about an hour along these expressways leads to more options in Batangas, like the Shercon Resort and Ecology Park and the Nayomi Sanctuary Resort respectively located in the neighboring Batangas towns of Mataas na Kahoy and Balete.

All these alluring destinations, nonetheless, are mere satellites for NUVALI’s residents, who enjoy a self-contained community that provides all the perks of living. More than a gem of a destination, NUVALI may very well be the crown jewel itself.
