Soleil Ignacio: Empowering Women Through Art

Depicting women in their strongest and most beautiful, Soleil makes sure that her creations are not only honest but also uplift women

Through graceful strokes, clean shapes, and rough textures, fashion and beauty illustrator Soleil Ignacio has become the unofficial advocate for women empowerment. Soleil’s work for such brands as TRESemme, L’Oreal Paris, and Jo Malone London depict women in their most beautiful and strongest.

But it took her many months to finally decide to go down this path.

“I first worked as a graphic designer, and I loved it,” says Soleil. “But it wasn’t what I really wanted to do.” She wanted to illustrate.

When she finally did become an illustrator, working out of her studio in Manila, Soleil realized that through her work, she could let her voice be heard (and provide a better future for her cat). She could tell the world how powerful and strong women can be.

And that makes all the hard work and sleepless nights worthwhile.
