Aware of the need to support these new real estate hubs, the government has embarked on an ambitious P8-trillion infrastructure program to improve mobility within and outside of Metro Manila. The plan includes the following:

  • the Metro Rail Transit Line-7, which will cut travel time from Bulacan to Metro Manila to only half an hour;
  • the Manila-Clark railway project, which broke ground in January for the first phase that will cut travel time between Manila and Pampanga from 2 hours to just 55 minutes;
  • the proposed North Luzon East Expressway which will connect Commonwealth Ave. to Nueva Ecija; and
  • the Clark International Airport, which is seen as an alternative aviation hub to NAIA
